Ludwig looked around in the bookstore. There were absolutely tons of books, but alas, he could not pick one out. He was in the non-fiction section of course, so there were no fancy tales of grandeur or fantastical epic adventures. One particular book caught his eye. It was about Stalingrad.

Meanwhile, Ivan Braginski was losing his patience with a girl who had stopped him on the street to warn him of the dangers of.... well, she'd been saying something, and it was annoying. He quickly agreed to her last point, took the paper he was offered, and nearly sprinted into the bookstore.

Matthew Williams sat in the middle of the floor. He was reading a book with the title "The Key to Asserivnes: unlocking the Skeletons of loudnes". Despite the grammatical errors, the book actually explained a lot. William sighed and put the book down, as the it was a bit to in-depth for him. He looked across the aisle and saw Ludwig looking at a history book.

Ivan looked around. He decided to pick up a book to read while he was here. Something by that Orwell guy, maybe. All of his stories had happy endings, which the Russia considered to be very important. He tried to figure out where they would be, but couldn't see them.
Suddenly, he spotted a familiar face. America's brother, Matthew! As uncertain as the exact level of his dislike for the rambunctious nation was, he thought Canada was quite nice; he even attempted to talk to him after meetings sometimes. He appeared to be staring at something. Maybe he'd know where to find a good book?

Ludwig put the book he had back on the shelf, and he started to walk away. Not noticing Matthew there, he tripped on the book Matthew had put on the ground, and tripped over Matthew. He landed on top of poor Matthew. He quickly noticed that he had fallen on Matthew, and quickly got up. "Ach..I apologize. Please forgive me, I didn't mean to trip over you..uh..Matthew? Zhat is your name, ja?"

At about that time, Ivan reached the two.
"Privet, Matthew! Privet, Germany! What are you doing here?" He wasn't sure how Ludwig had gotten here or how he didn't notice he was about to trip over someone. He decided that perhaps he wasn't quite as observant as he prided himself on being.

Matthew looked at them. "H-hi..Russia..It's okay G-Germany.." He looked down. People were interacting with him! He didn't quite know what to do, but he had a slight idea. "Uh..Wonderful weather we're having?"

As sad as it was that hardly anyone could see Canada, it was still kind of funny how horrible he was at small talk. Ivan thought that Matthew would benefit greatly from becoming one of his subordinates, but decided not to say so. It put a real damper on most conversations, and he dearly wanted to see what other funny things might be said here.

Ludwig offered his hand to help Matthew up. Canada simply stared, then it clicked in his head. He took Germany's hand and pulled himself up, shaking it. "Th-thanks..." Matthew picked up the book, put the book back on the shelf, and turned back to the others. "Hey, I had a question I had been thinking of..I-It's..Kind of random..But, I was w-wondering..WHo copyrighted the copyright symbol?"

At first, Russia couldn't say anything. Then he just stared for a second before admitting he didn't know.
"But we're in a bookstore! Maybe we can find out from one of the books in here, da?" He turned towards the rest of the books. "There's sure to be one book in here that could answer that question!"

Ludwig sighed. "I need to go and check out this book." He picked up the Stalingrad book, showing the cover. Then it struck him. Could this make Russia angry?

Russia didn't notice the book in the German's hand, as he and Matthew were on a book hunt. The store was so large it might take them days, but that was fine. Matthew WAS good company, if you paid attention to what he was saying; he never raised his voice beyond one you'd use for a relaxed conversation, but this, Russia imagined, was his "angry voice." Or maybe just frustrated--they hadn't found a book with pertinent information yet.

"Oh my god, dudes hey! What is up in here!" America shouted, sprinting up to the trio. "Oh. Russia. Dude, Canada! Sup bro? Yo Germany!"

Meanwhile, there was a blond haired, hazel eyed girl watching from the background. She was pretending to read a newspaper, but was really spying on the countries with her spy scope.
